This gallery features tattoos that were covered by The GYPSY. Covering a tattoo involves more than just throwing a design over the old tattoo. The artist must be able to merge the old design into the new one in such a way as to make the old design completely disappear. Despite contrary belief, it is not necessary to cover an old design with heavy black (such as using a panther or eight ball for the cover). What is needed is a lot of detail, a lot of color, a lot of detail, artistic skill and a lot of detail. Did I mention that you need a lot of detail when doing cover-ups? *Use the arrows to scroll through the slides. Click the thumbnail you wish to view to see the complete artwork.
BUTTERFLY COVER-UP Using a dragon head within flames the very poorly done butterfly, which you will also note was applied backwards on the arm, was covered. Note that the back of the wing was used as the upper curve of the head. The body of the butterfly is the back of the dragons head. Deep rich purples and blues complete the process. *Copying or reprinting of copyrighted material is expressly forbidden by law, is an infringement of intellectual rights and is professionally unethical. Theft and unauthorized copying of our items, photos or art will be dealt with to the full extent of the law. Please note that a true professional will not copy a tattoo that was done exclusively for another person. WE DO PROSECUTE AND LITIGATE FOR DAMAGES!
